where did Abram get or pulled out his tent? One other thing that I didnt understand is chapther 14. who are the kings and the in the saying out of Genesis 14 was "four kings with five." What was he saying by that? the last thing that I dont get was that why did the Pharaoh get mad at Abram, plus what did his wife do to make him get angry?

SHOULD STUDENTS’ LOCKERS BE SEARCHED?
No, our lockers should not be searched. If weapons, drugs, or anything like that, were found in the school, then I would understand the need to search the lockers, but if they just wanted to search, for example, every month just because the school thought it would prevent us from bringing inappropriate/prohibited items to school, then I don’t think it should be allowed. I can’t say I don’t think that this would prevent us from bringing these items to school, it probably would, but we need our privacy, and the only place where we could have our personal things at school, is in our lockers. The school should not care about what happens outside of school, and if we had something, maybe photographs or something written, that could reveal what we did, for instance, over the weekend, it should be kept to ourselves, in our lockers if we wished to. We should feel confident that no one will go through our lockers and find out what we did with our lives while we were not at school. Mostly every student in our school is outstanding and truly dedicated to school, and our lives outside of school shouldn’t affect us in school. They would be treated different in a way if this outstanding student was discovered by whoever searched the locker.

melinda is denying the fact that she was a worm (metaphor for evolution) because she is afraid of worms, which shows that she dosent know what she is talking about, she is going on what she has been told in the past. the seperation between church and state is supposed to be complete seperation, at least when used in a court of law or stuff like that, of course in this play the judge is completly misusing his power, and breaking the law by using the bible to determine whether or not that guy is teaching blasphemy in school. this play is riddled with ignorance, between ignorant remarks, and actions. perhaps the biggest quantity of ignorance that can be examined in this play is the part where the judge takes out the bible and starts reading it to the court room. not only is this inconstitutional, but it is also ignorant, ignorant because it dosent give an explanation, it hardly has anything to do with the trial, and it proves that the judge is unfairly biased. the trial, as is stated in act 1 scene 1, not only puts cates on trial, but also puts the town on trial. the trial takes place in a small redneckish town, and is supposed to draw a lot of attention to it. there is a theme that glutony is ignorant, and it isnt good. it makes the gluton to appear to be very ignorant and wanting to draw attention toi himself. i think the author may have made the disconnect between the trial and play to somewhat exagerate things so that it might make more sense, or show how ridiculous some viewpoints may have been

"Adults" like Children.

Why does the story begin with a conversation between two children. What is the significance about their conversation? Melinda and Howard have a conversation while Howard is playing with worms that were brought in from the rain. He makes Melinda mad when he tells her that her and her family were once worms or blobs of jelly when the whole world was covered in water. The significance of this converstaion is to show how even adults try to make the different theories of how life cam to be on earth like a competition. They cant agree or be tolerant of other people's opinios. This conversation between two kids shows how adults act like children when it comes to agreeing. It shows how blindly some people can believe in religion, or in a scientific theorie, like children can believe in Santa Clause.

How to Dig a Hole

There is one thing that the gangster films of the thirties and forties share in common with Flaubert's novel Madame Bovary. In both, the protagonist goes to extreme and terrible ends to dig themselves out of a hole, yet merely end up deeper in it. Like George Raft, Humphrey Bogart, Paul Muni or James Cagney, Madame Bovary is simply a moral lacking, yet very human flunk. Wife to a boring doctor, Mistress to a boring clerk, debtor to a sketchy merchant, and mother to an ignored daughter. What is interesting about this is that she, more than almost anyone, wants the glamorous life she has read about in her Parisian magazines.
To achieve these high standards of life and social grace upon which she has set herself she looks to affairs. They leave her nothing but grief and a poor conscience. She seeks an abundance of material luxuries. They leave her hopelessly in debt. She wants a comfortable home life, yet she isolates her good husband and daughter with her web of lies and misplaced loves. She slowly digs her hole so deep that there is but one level remaining. In the final parallel with the Warner Bros. Gangster films, the conflicted protagonist dies and long and dramatic death, the only way that justice could be served. Swimin with the Fishies.

well the best people i like that came in to resopnd about what they had in life was the one game with the posters. the reason why i picked him is because he stood up and wanted to change the world after 9/11. so what he did was, he made a metting and they marched though a wh0ole bunch of country and cities. he had a poste rthat he had and he got a lot of people to sign it to show that they cared on what happend on 9/11.

what i feel strongly about

what i mostly feel strongly about is the government. the reason why i feel strongly about that is because they lie and do a whole bunch of other things that they say they would do but really dont.i think it is brcause of gorge bush for being such a bad president. so when i hear Obama saying that he will change alot of things to make the the govenment better i was thinking that it was going to be a good idea.
